Call Jaren 801 560 6776
We want to add our personal endorsement of Jaren. We’ve known him for several years. Jaren’s been in our home. We’ve discussed Utah and Cottonwood Heights issues with him. (He is pro-police!)
Jaren is a man of integrity and capacity. He has years of serious government service on various committees and appointments, including national appointments. He has a history of working with those of all opinions and still getting the task done.
Visit his website and view the video we did with him in our living room.
Then we hope you will join us in voting for him for Utah State Legislator for District 46.
David & Susan Williams
In my years serving as State Senator, I learned the value of broad-based effective leadership. Our communities need representation from individuals who both have life experience and can understand, accept, and advocate for diverse opinions. I have known Jaren on a variety of professional levels and offer that he is the one we need to represent us now. I proudly endorse Jaren, knowing he will be effective in serving our families.
Teachers need leaders who can successfully navigate the issues we face in educating our children. I know Jaren carries the passion for and interest in working with us to ensure we are provided with the resources needed to carry out our mission. Please join me in voting for Jaren, knowing he will make a difference.
I have worked with Jaren on issues that have crossed party lines. I appointed him to the Quality Growth Commission, where he preserved over 60,000 acres. You can trust him to put people over party. Join me in supporting him for the state legislature.
As my generation begins raising our families, we start looking forward to the life we are giving our children. I want my representative to have a generational mindset thinking of long term solutions. That is who Jaren is and why I will vote for him. He will build a lasting foundation protective of a lifestyle I want for my family.
I couldn’t be more honored at this time than to offer a full throated endorsement of Jaren Davis in his run for the state legislature from my legislative district, District 46, for the upcoming 2020 election. While I have been a lifelong democrat, I have always scrutinized any candidate for office as to whether I believe their views were compatible with what I believed were in the best interests of his or her constituents, and whether he or she would, in my opinion, represent those interests in such a way as I could support them, and this political race is certainly no exception.
Admittedly, I have known Jaren for several years as a friend, however, if I felt he would or could not represent his constituent’s interests in a manner that were compatible with what I believed were in their best interests then I would have no problem in not supporting him, and for that matter letting him know that and why. While Jaren and I have been on separate sides of the political fence for years, what I have so admired about Jaren is his absolute willingness to LISTEN and consider competing views and to articulate his position in a straight talking manner which has usually evidenced a thoughtful consideration of an issue.
Aside from Jaren’s characteristics of being an able advocate for his constituents, and he will be, I have to say that Jaren’s most admirable qualities in my eyes are his decency, kindness, and compassion for people, whatever their station in life may be. Jaren is well grounded but sensitive to what ALL people are experiencing or in need of.
I have absolutely no hesitancy in saying that District 46 would have exceptional representation with Jaren Davis as their representative in the Utah state legislature and I would encourage any person in District 46 to contact me should you wish to discuss Jaren or his qualifications,
We love our outdoors and the beauty of the area surrounding our homes. Having served our district as Senator, I know what skill sets a candidate needs to represent our interests. Jaren has spent nearly twenty years preserving critical lands for open space, view corridor, watershed, and habitat. He chaired the Quality Growth Commission by appointment from Gov Huntsman, where during his tenure, over 60,000 acres were preserved. He currently serves on the advisory council for Utah Open Lands under Wendy Fisher. They are working together to protect the entrance of Little Cottonwood Canyon. His passion for and interest in preservation is what we need in a representative. Leaders like Jaren will open doors for funding future projects and ensuring our quality of life isn’t diminished.
I have known Jaren for a long time; he is a doer! We need the people who represent us to do more than talk. Be willing to get in and do the work. Work without concern for recognition, knowing it is the right thing to do. That is precisely what Jaren will do and why I endorse him. He will advocate honestly, and successfully as he has shown in his 34 plus years serving our communities.
When I think who could best represent my interests, I imagine someone who cares and is willing to give of themselves. These are Jaren’s characteristics and why he has my support. I have grown up around Jaren’s family, always knowing he was interested and would be there for me should I ever need. That is what is needed in politics today—someone who understands and is willing to help.
My family has known Jaren for years. Our district would be well served to have a person of his caliber advocating for us on the hill. He has my vote and support. I admonish you to do the same with confidence he cares about our community.
Jaren has always had an interest in and passion for politics. Much of this stemmed from my grandfather who Jaren is named after, who was a politician in our state.
Jaren is a man of high integrity and honesty. He is a compassionate person and would do anything for anyone. There is never a dull moment when he is around; he has a funny sense of humor and can bring a smile to everyone's face. He loves the outdoors and being all around this beautiful area.
We moved to Cottonwood Heights 23 years ago and feel blessed to have lived so close to Jaren and his family. He has always been a great deal of support to me when needed.
Do you ever have those moments when you want something so bad for someone that you really care about? That is how I feel towards Jaren and his running for The House. I know his determination and work ethic and passion would benefit those he would serve. I hope that anyone reading this can sense that. He has a good heart and a passion for our area and this gorgeous State of Utah, especially our location here between these two beautiful canyons. I ask for your support of my wonderful brother, Jaren Davis.
I have known Jaren Davis for over 30 years. Jaren is hard-working, thorough, and a good listener. Jaren cares deeply about our community and will be approachable to the citizens of his district, issue by issue in our state legislature. I endorse Jaren to be our Representative in the Utah House of Representatives and urge you to support him too.
Jaren Davis is a leader who works collaboratively to solve problems. In my experience working with him to preserve some of Utah’s most critical open spaces, agricultural lands, and recreational areas, he brought his knowledge of the development/real estate industry to the table and worked with a broad group to reach solid decisions that were processed based. He is a clear and effective communicator and sticks to his values. For this reason, I fully endorse him for House district 46.
Jaren has always been a strong supporter of the City. He understands issues and takes a measured approach to problem resolution. I have always found him to be willing to actually listen to concerns and be willing to engage in solving community issues. I support him in his candidacy to represent Cottonwood Heights in the Utah House.
I met Jaren Davis when we both served on the Utah State Parks Board. Jaren is one of my most treasured friends and colleagues. He loves Utah, it's people and is the prefect person to build relationships and find win win solutions for Utah.
Jaren Davis knows the people and understands the issues facing district 46 and our state. He has my support and I hope he has yours as well.
Whenever I think of Jaren, I see his brilliant smile with an intellect to match. He possesses a rare ability to assimilate complex issues very rapidly and form solid, strategic resolutions. I value Jaren's advice on any topic.
I have known Jaren Davis for many years. He grew up in the Cottonwood Heights area, enjoying the benefits of its varied outdoor activities and resources and knows the issues that face our community today. I have found him to be generous with his time and talents and fiscally responsible when it comes to those resources and assets. Jaren has been involved in our community in numerous ways, including serving as chair of the State Parks Board, overseeing our world-class recreational areas, and chairing the Quality Growth Commission preserving such assets as Willow Heights in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Draper’s Corner Canyon and Red Butte Garden. I believe Jaren is willing to work for our best interests and believe he will represent the feelings and concerns we have here in our neighborhoods. I hope you’ll join me in supporting him this November by voting for him to represent us in our legislative district in the Utah State House of Representatives.
It’s vital you and I vote for our values and advocate for what we believe in. In this crucial time of our lives, we have been pushed to the very limit of human strength. We’ve been forced to navigate economic challenges and faced fears we never thought could be experienced in this lifetime. We have witnessed and cried over countless communities suffering beyond our imagination. Many of us have prayed harder than ever, ramped up our diligence to keep believing and expecting more from our leaders. We have marched in protest and witnessed destruction to properties, and seen what historical inequities have shown the world America’s ugly side, catching the attention of neighboring countries (on daily global news!). I, like many of you asked, “Where have our leaders gone?” Reality is our leaders are humans and thanks to Covid-19, the playing field was leveled because - my experience is their experience - same challenges. My emotions and fears, their emotions and fears.
I believe, painting this picture is critical, because there is one (community) leader who I witnessed stand strong in his belief in humanity and calmed many fears. This leader walked a very long journey of painful experiences most of us could not imagine or even survive. When our Creator dealt him a couple of hands that most people would have been destroyed, this man faced life challenges with strength, humility, determination and spirit.
I am grateful to introduce and endorse Jaren Davis, candidate Utah State House of Representatives District 46.
On a personal note, my blessing is to have gotten to know Jaren Davis as the committed family man he is. His greatest gift to his children has been to love their mother and always listen. He is a man of integrity with a 99.9% effective, bi-partisan political experience. Jaren is an effective advocate for social justice, economic opportunity, gender and racial equity, substance programs, domestic violence prevention advocate, tribal affairs supporter, advocate for communities, clean air and energy, and as a board member for Utah State Parks, advocated for increased salary for the men and women who protect our parks. He devotes a significant amount of time and effort in communities. Jaren understands how local and state government works - - and doesn’t work. Jaren is and will be a strong voice that will show up, and represent us. Most important, I know he will hit the ground running the very first day.
I am so grateful for Jaren’s thoughtful leadership. He cares and respects each individual enough to listen to new ideas, different perspectives, examines alternatives, gives strong consideration to possible outcomes and then develops a position. Jaren is a real guy! He’s approachable, engaged, and is committed to being accountable.
Again, many of us have asked, where have all our leaders gone? My answer, we have a strong leader in Jaren Davis, and right now let’s use our voice and vote to elect Jaren to the People’s House.
Jaren truly cares for people and gives back to those around him. With his vast experience working in various roles he understands how to work with others, he is a people person who listens to everyone. I could not think of a better person to address the issues we must deal with as a state and how it will impact our beautiful area. It is time for our voice to be heard. I fully support Jaren as the next Representative for District 46
Jaren and I became acquainted through our respective roles running non-profit organizations. Through the years, I have come to know Jaren as trustworthy, generous of his time, empathetic, caring, and a good friend. It is clear that he loves Utah and his community and will work to take care of both for future generations. He is a family man and possesses all the traits one would want and expect from a public servant. If I could vote for him, I certainly would!
Jaren is an exceptional leader and energetic problem solver. One of his greatest assets is his ability to actively listen to others and help them. He makes connections and links opportunities in a way that allows those around him to thrive. He takes care of people first and the results are astounding. I am fortunate to have worked with him on business and political issues where he really shines. His leadership abilities are nothing short of amazing.
I have known and worked with Jaren for several years now through the Salt Lake Home Builders Association which Jaren oversees. Although we don’t always agree politically Jaren is an individual who truly listens and is willing to listen to all sides of a topic and can stand his ground when needed, compromise when needed and take a step back and reposition his opinion when needed. When I am communicating with Jaren I know I have his full attention and he wants to help in getting to the right solution. I am confident in his ability to take his knowledge, passion for Utah and love for the people of Utah and represent us well as a state representative. He will be a leader who will study the issues and help make the decisions that will most benefit the State of Utah and more importantly the people of Utah on both sides of the aisle.
My friend, Jaren Davis, is running for the Utah State House. I recommend him to you as someone I know will strive to bring (as Abraham Lincoln said) “the better angels of our nature” to that work. I’ve known Jaren for over 25 years- first as a professional colleague when he was elected President of a non-profit group I led, and thereafter as a good friend. During his tenure as President, Jaren was dedicated, hardworking and professional in his vision for the organization but also extremely considerate and kind in his treatment of the staff and association members. He brought an honest, pragmatic, and hopeful insight into the problems and needs of our organization. Jaren was (and is) fair minded and willing to examine the issues and listen closely to the questions and concerns of all involved. Jaren’s experience and success in business, local, state and national professional associations as well as many years working with local and state government have all prepared him for the hard work of the State House. But more than that, I also recommend him as a man of character and integrity whom you can trust to represent your values in the Utah State House. I urge you to vote for Jaren Davis.
It has been my good fortune to know Jaren Davis for more than 15 years. I first met Jaren when he served on the Board of Directors of the Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCUtah), where I was the CEO. At CDCUtah, we had the mission to develop and support affordable homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income families, and to revitalize distressed neighborhoods. Jaren's commitment to the mission helped us serve hundreds of households across the state, and contribute to the stability of many communities. What is more, he helped us create the Community Development Fund, a non-profit lender to economically disadvantaged families. Jaren Davis is an exceptional leader with keen business sense and a commitment to helping all communities and individuals thrive.
It is with confidence I endorse Jaren as our candidate for the state house. Over my time serving the people of Utah, I have developed an understanding of the characteristics of a good leader. Some I would list that Jaren enjoys are integrity, passion, and being a good listener. With these traits, I know he will be able to inspire through thoughtful communication the ideals we hold dear as residents of district 46. Please join me in voting for Jaren on November 3, 2020.
Jaren Davis is truly a man of his word. In today’s world, many people feel divided by party lines. Jaren is one who reaches across party lines and listens to everyone regardless of party affiliation.
Jaren Davis is the type of person we need on Capitol Hill. He is willing to listen to people and have a healthy dialogue, which is desperately missing in today's world. He will advocate for his district and be a great representative.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Jaren and I met helping struggling youth. What I learned quickly is that he carries a passion for people and naturally leans toward helping wherever possible. From the minute we met, we have enjoyed a lasting friendship. Who would have known we would both seek public office one day? Know of my support for his candidacy and that if you want a person who cares and is capable, you too will support Jaren.
Jaren Davis was Commission Chair. As chairman of the Utah Quality Growth Commission, Jaren worked tirelessly to ensure that hundreds of thousands of acres of critical farmland, wildlife habitat, recreation property and watersheds in Utah were conserved for future generations.
